Same location, 2003. There are now separate pedestrian signals, with an exclusive four-way pedestrian phase: the signals for the roadways are red in every direction. However, the phase is not really exclusive, as right turns on red are permitted in the absence of any signs prohibiting them. The pedestrian near the left side of the photo is crossing near the end of the pedestrian phase. The bicyclists in the photo are starting to cross. This photo and the next three are a sequence taken at intervals of approximately two seconds.
